Hello everyone! I’m going to be working on some abilities that you can use in D&D5e and PF2E has homebrew options. These options are for further altering or changing your class options, or give your players something new.
For those playing Pathfinder Second Edition, these are simply feats, they’ll have their level and tags as with everything else. Most will be general feats, though some will be special class feats that you can pull up.
For D&D5e, however, this is going to replace a few class features and traits. Alternately, you can, with your GM’s permission, use these feats at the appropriate levels. Many will require specific class features, such as the rogue’s sneak attack or fighter’s superiority dice. These prerequisite abilities can be purchased as well at level up with your GM’s permission. This means either multi-classing, or at level up “purchasing” the ability.
To purchase these abilities you can use XP if you’re using that, or your GM can award you Ability Points (a subsystem in the works). Abilities have a level requirement, but the cost is always the same, starting at 4 AP for the first ability, and each subsequent ability costs 2 more (6 for the second, 8 for the third, and so on).
These bonus abilities can alter play for players, so for GMs I recommend only giving out AP as extras, for good roleplaying or awesome tactics. Another recommendation is that you can replace class features at those levels instead, which can alter how a class works, so becareful when playing with this homebrew.
That’s all I’ve got on this for now. For the forseeable future, I’ll be creating these shorter posts that cover the specific abilities for PF2E and D&D5e and sharing them here.
Finally, May Your Adventures Be Awesome!
